Quantuma
Cross-border advisory firm Quantuma, which is
headquartered in London, has appointed Luke Furler as the leader
of its international business.
The firm said that Furler, who joined Quantuma in 2022 to establish its Asia operations, has developed “a market leading boutique” in the region with highly teams operating from its offices in Singapore, Hong Kong, Vietnam and Malaysia. His main responsibility will be to increase connectivity between the firm’s Far East operations with its Caribbean operations in Cayman and the BVI.
Quantuma’s international business also includes operations in Cyprus and a joint venture with a leading practice in Mauritius, which has adopted the firm’s branding.
Furler is interim liquidator of City Credit Investment Bank Limited, of Labuan, Malaysia, which has operations across multiple jurisdictions in Asia, the Caribbean and Cyprus. He is also liquidator of MTBL Global Fund together with Patrick Sarkowski in Quantuma's Cayman office, a Cayman Islands incorporated fund with its major asset being its 39.8 per cent equity holding in a Singapore listed company.
Furler is engaged in a range of appointments spanning the firm’s international offices together with its leaders in each jurisdiction, including acting as director of a Cyprus-incorporated hospitality business and director of a UK-headquartered leading international service provider to the energy industry that is undergoing a complex global restructuring.
While speaking of his new appointment, Furler outlined further developments: Joffrey Tan has been promoted to managing director, assuming leadership of operations in Singapore.
Brian Wong’s recent appointment in Hong Kong will see further investment in the short term, adding a further senior hire in the coming months.
Operations in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam are led by Jia Rong Oh who, along with Joffrey Tan, will also assume responsibility for operations in newly-established offices in Kuala Lumpur and Labuan, Malaysia.
Constantinos Ioannou and Andrew Andronikou continue to lead Cypriot operations where the team is acknowledged, the firm said, for its advanced trading and turnaround capabilities of distressed businesses in both domestic and offshore markets.
In the BVI, Quantuma will bring in a new senior hire in the coming months, adding to teams in the Caribbean.
Finally, in the first quarter of 2025, a managing director in London, who will play a lead role in the London markets, will complete the firm’s international leadership team.
