Who’s Moving Where In Wealth Management? – Candriam, Premier Miton, Axyon AI, Others
The latest moves, appointments and personnel changes among wealth management and related organisations in the UK, the rest of Europe, the Middle East, Africa and select international locations.
Candriam
Candriam, a global
multi-asset manager specialising in sustainable and
responsible investing, has made a leadership change within its
global fixed income team.
Nicolas Jullien, CFA (pictured), who has been with Candriam for 17 years and serves as head of high yield and credit arbitrage, will be succeeding Philippe Noyard as the global head of fixed income, effective 1 January 2025, ahead of Noyard’s planned retirement in Q1 2025.
Jullien’s career at Candriam has been marked by his long-standing collaboration with Noyard and Nicolas Forest, CIO, since he joined the company in 2007. This partnership, spanning 17 years, and Jullien’s continuing work in advancing Candriam’s fixed income platform, make his appointment as Noyard’s successor a natural and well-deserved promotion, the firm said in a statement.
In his expanded role – whilst continuing to lead the high yield and credit arbitrage team – Jullien will lead the fixed income leadership team, collectively managing €32 billion ($35.59 billion) in assets.
Candriam, which has been managing fixed income portfolios for over 30 years, offers solutions that span European and global bond markets with a strong emphasis on ESG principles.
Premier Miton
Premier Miton
has hired Nicola Stronach as its new chief operating officer.
Stronach, who joined the firm in early September, covers the
overall management of Premier Miton’s risk, operations,
compliance and legal teams, as well as relations with regulators
and third-party strategic relationships. She is also a member of
the senior management team responsible for the firm's strategic
direction.
Stronach has extensive experience in the asset management industry spanning more than 25 years; she held the same position at Old Mutual Global Investors/Merian Global Investors. Stronach has also worked at Credit Suisse Asset Management as director of global investment operations, as investment operations director within Quilter, and managing director within asset servicing at Bank of New York.
“Nicola’s wealth of asset management experience and operational and regulatory expertise will be invaluable to the firm as we continue to strengthen our existing UK distribution, offer strategies for institutional distribution, and develop our international growth ambitions. This is an exciting time for the business and Nicola will play a pivotal role within the senior leadership team that drives the implementation of our strategic goals,” Mike O’Shea, Premier Miton’s CEO, said.
Axyon AI
Axyon AI, a fintech
provider of AI to the asset management industry in Europe, has
appointed Nicholas “Nick” Greenland as senior vice president,
business development.
Based in the UK, Greenland will be joining the executive team, working closely with the rest of the senior leadership team and co-founders.
A financial markets expert, Greenland has more than two decades of experience across both the buy and sell side, having held several senior global positions at BNY Investments, Credit Suisse and RBS. He previously chaired the Investment Associations’ FX committee and spearheaded market structure changes in line with the FX Code of Conduct, and has worked closely with CIOs and external experts providing advice and governance and oversight as a board member.
“Nick’s appointment is a significant milestone for Axyon AI and represents both our ambition and commitment to the UK market and beyond. Axyon AI is well established in Europe and we are now looking to consolidate that position across the world. We welcome Nick and what he will bring to the business using his vast experience at what is an incredibly exciting and significant time for Axyon AI,” Daniele Grassi, CEO and co-founder of Axyon AI, said.
Since its foundation in 2016, Axyon AI said it has been at the forefront of delivering advanced AI-driven predictions. By integrating a broad range of traditional and non-traditional data sets and "cutting-edge" AI-powered proprietary technology, Axyon AI enables the investment management community and related infrastructure providers to navigate complex market dynamics with greater precision and insight.
