7IM has hired Matteo
Ruozzo as a senior quantitative investment strategist as part of
the expansion and development of its investment capabilities.
Ruozzo (pictured) will be joining the investment management team and report into Matthew Yeates, deputy chief investment officer. In his new role, he will be enhancing 7IM’s quantitative approaches to tactical asset allocation. Previously, Ruozzo worked at BlackRock for eight years, where most recently he was a quantitative researcher and portfolio manager in the multi-asset model portfolios team.
Ruozzo’s appointment follows a series of hires by 7IM this year, with further recruitment underway to bolster 7IM’s growth plan.
“He joins at an exciting time for the business as we invest in our investment expertise and our technology. We have a strong belief in the benefits of quantitative approaches to investment management and Matteo brings with him a great deal of multi-asset experience that will further strengthen our process,” Yeates said.
