Who's Moving Where In Wealth Management? - Weatherbys Private Bank, Brown Shipley, Others

The latest people moves in wealth management across the UK, Europe, Middle East and Africa.

Weatherbys Private Bank
UK-based Weatherbys Private Bank has appointed Henry Taylor as an associate director. 

Taylor will report to Quentin Marshall. He joins from Lloyds, where he was most recently a relationship director in corporate banking. 

Since he joined Lloyds in 2005, he has held a number of other senior roles in both their domestic and international private banking businesses. 

Brown Shipley
UK wealth management firm Brown Shipley has appointed Andrew Butler-Cassar as head of its London Office, a newly created role. He will start his new role on 8 January.

In his new role, Butler-Cassar will focus on the leadership of the London-based client relationship teams, including business development and he will report to Guy Healey.

Butler-Cassar has over 20 years of industry experience, including his most recent role as head of private office at Investec Wealth & Investment, a role he has held since 2014. Previous roles include head of corporate development, head of London and senior investment director during 12 years at Williams de Broe, as well as senior relationship manager at Lloyds TSB Private Banking.

Citi Private Bank
Citi Private Bank has appointed Andrew Keating as UK private banker. 

He will be based in London and he will report to Giles Thompson, managing director.

Keating joins from LGT Vestra, where he managed UK & Irish ultra-high net worth clients. He has over 20 years' investment experience, having worked with both Julius Baer and Merrill Lynch previously. 

M&G Investments
London-headquartered M&G Investments has appointed Michael Stiasny as manager of M&G UK Income Distribution Fund on 1 April. This will be after the current manager, Richard Hughes, retires at the end of March. 

Also, with immediate effect, Stiasny will join Sam Ford as co-deputy manager of the fund. Stiasny will continue as fund manager of M&G Charifund, which he has run since November 2016, and deputy fund manager of M&G Recovery Fund.

The firm has also appointed Wolfgang Bauer as manager of the M&G European Inflation Linked Corporate Bond Fund, replacing current manager Jim Leaviss, at the beginning of January 2018. 

Bauer will continue alongside Jim Leaviss as co-manager of the M&G Absolute Return Bond Fund, and as deputy manager of the M&G Global Corporate Bond Fund and the M&G European Corporate Bond Fund.

Berenberg
Berenberg has appointed Angela Müller-Valkyser to be its co-head of wealth management for Germany, as of 1 January. 

Over the past 22 years, Müller-Valkyser has carried out various management functions in corporate and investment banking as well as in wealth management at Deutsche Bank. Most recently, as a MD there, she was responsible for strategic clients for the Region West.
