Who's Moving Where In Wealth Management? - Tilney, BNP Paribas AM, Others

The latest moves in wealth management across the UK, Europe, Middle East and Africa.

Tilney
UK investment management and financial planning group Tilney has appointed James Diack as a financial planner based in Glasgow.

He has more than 25 years' experience in the sector. He joins from the Bank of Scotland, where he has spent the past four years as a private banking and advice manager covering the West and Southern Scotland. In Tilney’s Glasgow team, Diack will deliver advice as part of the firm’s "two expert" approach which sees financial planners paired alongside the firm’s investment managers.

BNP Paribas Asset Management
BNP Paribas Asset Management has appointed Melanie Aimer to the newly-created role of global head of client experience. 

Aimer reports to Roger Miners, chief marketing officer. Based in London, she is responsible for client satisfaction, insight, analytics and reporting, as well as market intelligence, supporting the needs of key clients across all their interactions with BNPP AM.  

She has joined from BNP Paribas Corporate & Institutional Banking, where her most recent role was as global head of digital for employees.  She was previously global head of client development, firstly within CIB’s fixed income division and then within global markets.

Utmost Wealth Solutions
Isle of Man-based Utmost Wealth Solutions has appointed Stephen Atkinson as global head of sales and marketing.

Atkinson will lead and drive sales and marketing activity across the UK and Europe.  He joined Utmost Wealth Solutions from the fintech sector, having previously represented Lombard as head of sales – Northern Europe

He replaces Simon Woolnough, who has left the firm, in the role.

Lazard Asset Management
Lazard Asset Management has appointed Jeremy Taylor as UK chief executive. He replaced Bill Smith, who retired from the role of UK CEO after being in the position for the past 16 years.

Taylor joined the firm in 2003 and was previously a managing director and global co-director of research, a role he held for 11 years.

In his new capacity, Taylor will assume responsibility for Lazard's business activities in the UK, Middle East and parts of Europe. 

Artorius
UK wealth manager Artorius, which has offices in Manchester, London and Zurich, has appointed Jane Fowke as head of wealth planning and Tina Winder as head of compliance.

Fowke joins from Kleinwort Hambros, having previously been at HSBC and Barclays.

Winder joins from Tilney, where she was deputy head of compliance.

Intertrust
Intertrust, the Europe-listed provider of expert administrative services, has appointed Hans Turkesteen as its chief financial officer. 

Hans Turkesteen has been serving as Intertrust's interim CFO since November 2017, having taken over from Maarten de Vries. He is a registered accountant and senior finance professional with over 25 years' experience in the professional services industry at Andersen and later Deloitte, including as managing partner of their Financial Advisory Services division. More recently he served as CFO and member of the Management Board at private equity-owned Stork (2008-2012) and Euronext-listed Royal Imtech NV (2013-2015).
