Who's Moving Where In Wealth Management? - Mirabaud, Close Brothers AM

The latest senior moves in wealth management from across Europe and the UK.

Mirabaud
Swiss bank Mirabaud is increasing its presence serving high net worth UK clients with two senior hires in the private banking and wealth management business.

Markets veteran Martin O’Hare is joining in London as a managing director and senior private banker following senior roles at JP Morgan Private Bank, Signia Wealth, SG Hambros and Merrill Lynch.

Rosalind Booth is joining in Zurich as a first vice president and senior relationship manager. She has had several high-level UK-client focused roles at HSBC Private Bank, Nordea Private Banking, Julius Baer and Coutts over a 30-year private banking career.

Mirabaud, which has operated in the UK since 1990, said expansion into the UK wealth management market comes through experienced hires who bring strong client relationships with them. O’Hare will join a staff of around 100 based in London.

Close Brothers
Close Brothers Asset Management has appointed Tim West as managing director to push forward its high net worth client proposition.

West joins from rival UK-listed wealth management house Rathbones where he was a senior investment director for 22 years. While at Rathbones, West managed investment portfolios for individuals, trusts and charities, and was a team leader in the firm’s London office. West was also responsible for research in listed private equity and small company funds, as well as representing Rathbones on the Wealth Management Association (WMA) Indices Committee.

West will be based in a London West End office and will report to Andrew Hess, managing director, working alongside other recent hires to support the company’s growth strategy through the further expansion and enhancement of its high net worth capability.
