The latest senior moves in the wealth management market across Europe, Middle East and Africa.

LGT Group
Liechtenstein-based LGT Group Foundation has appointed Karen Fawcett as a new member of its foundation board. The UK national assumes her role with immediate effect, and will also have a seat on the board previously held by Phillip Colebatch, who has retired. LGT Group Foundation is the holding company of the different LGT entities.

Fawcett began her career in 1985 as a consultant in London and Singapore. From 1998 until 2001, she was a partner responsible for financial services in Asia-Pacific at the US strategy and technology consulting firm Booz, Allen & Hamilton. She then moved to Standard Chartered Bank, where she ran major areas of the global bank and, as CEO, was responsible for retail banking in addition to branding and marketing until 2017. She also led a sustainable fish farming venture in Asia.

Among other roles, Fawcett is a director on the Board of INSEAD Business School and a director at BetterTradeOff, a fintech company based in Singapore and Dubai.

“Because of our focus on the Asian market, it was also very important for us to find a person with extensive professional experience in Asia. We are very pleased that Karen Fawcett will be further strengthening our foundation board with her know-how,” HSH Prince Philipp von und zu Liechtenstein, Chairman of the LGT Foundation Board, said.

Board members are now HSH Prince Philipp von und zu Liechtenstein, Dr Rodolfo Bogni, Juan Bosch, KB Chandrasekar, Mark Jordy, Prof Dr Conrad Meyer and Karen Fawcett.
