Who's Moving Where In Wealth Management? - Kingswood, Tilney
The latest senior moves in wealth management from across Europe and the UK.
Kingswood
UK-listed wealth management firm Kingswood
Holdings, has appointed Lindsey McMurray and Howard Garland
to join its board from Pollen Street Capital, an alternative
asset investment management company.
The appointments are part of investment completed in September
this year, involving up to £80 million committed from investors
and funds managed and/or controlled by Pollen Street.
“Kingswood is entering the next phase of development: becoming a
global, scalable wealth management infrastructure, not just a
bolt-on acquisition driven growth model,” the firm said in a
statement yesterday.
McMurray founded Pollen Street in 2013 and is the managing
partner as well as chairman of the investment committee. She has
been a private equity investor for more than 20 years with a
focus on the financial services sector. Howard Garland is a
partner of Pollen Street where he focuses on investing in
financial services businesses and credit opportunities with
current responsibility for BIK and Deko. He is also responsible
for credit investments including Caledonian Finance and Sancus.
Howard was previously responsible for Banca Sistema and Arrow
Global.
Listed on London’s AIM market, Kingswood has about £2.5 billion
of assets under management, and has offices in the UK including
Abingdon, Beverley, Derby, Lincoln, London, Maidstone, Sheffield
and Worcester, and offices in Johannesburg, South Africa and New
York, US. In May this year, the firm acquired a strategic stake
in US-based, Manhattan Harbor Capital Inc.
The Pollen Street Capital Group is an independent alternative
asset investment management company focused on the financial and
business services sectors, and was created in 2013.
