Who's Moving Where In Wealth Management? Boodle Hatfield, BNP Paribas

The latest moves in wealth management from across Europe and the Middle East.

Boodle Hatfield
Private wealth law firm Boodle Hatfield has appointed Laurence Morgan as a senior associate in its private client team in London. The longstanding firm, with offices in Mayfair and Bankside, specialises in property, tax, corporate, family and litigation for high net worth clients.

Morgan joins the team from private client firm Forsters. Before that, he spent four years at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, and six years in the private client team at Macfarlanes.

He has appeared on Legal Week’s Private Client Global Elite “ones to watch” list for the past two years and is a fluent Spanish speaker having spent time at a Spanish law firm, the group said.

“Laurence’s expertise and experience of working with internationally mobile high net worth and ultra-high net worth individuals makes him a great addition to our international private client team,” Andrea Zavos, head of private client and tax, said.

The 33-partner firm has been in business since 1722 representing wealthy individuals, families, property owners and businesses in the UK and internationally.

BNP Paribas
BNP Paribas Asset Management, part of Paris-listed BNP Paribas, has appointed three senior quantitative analysts to join its quant research group. The joiners are Boris Afanasiev, Benoît Bellone and Frédéric Abergel.

The analysts report to Thomas Heckel and François Soupé, the group’s co-heads. Afanasiev is based in London, and Bellone and Abergel are based in Paris.

Alongside the QRG Research Lab’s other quantitative analysts and data scientists, the men will work across all asset classes, undertaking strategic research and using their connections within the academic world where appropriate.
