Who's Moving Where In Wealth Management? – Man Group, Cambridge Associates

The latest moves and appointments in wealth management in the UK, continental Europe, the Middle East, and select international locations.

Man Group
Man Global Private Markets, part of UK-listed Man Group, has appointed Matthew Moniot and Jonathan Imundo as co-heads of credit risk sharing.

They are both joining from alternative credit manager Elanus Capital Management, and will report to Eric Burl, head of Man GPM.

Moniot, who will manage Man GPM’s new credit risk sharing strategy and team, including portfolio management and origination, founded the Elanus business in 2010 to execute CRS transactions with European banks. Before creating Elanus, Moniot managed an international financials portfolio at Millennium Management and portfolios at Omega Advisors and Lehman Brothers. He is based in London.

Imundo will spend most of his time on the Elanus business, keeping his role as president and head of client solutions at that firm. With Man GPM, he will focus on business development. Before Elanus, he spent a decade at Barclays, most recently as a managing director. He is based in New York.

Cambridge Associates
Cambridge Associates, the global investment firm, has made four senior hires across Europe to meet client demand for private markets and sustainable investments.

The firm has named Stefan Lummert (pictured), Nick Rees, Devon Zimmerling and Sarah Acheson as investment managing directors.

Lummert will be based in Munich where he will report into Alex Koriath, head of the European pension practice and regional head of Germany. Lummert will manage client investment portfolios with an emphasis on infrastructure, private credit, and private equity. Having worked with institutional investors in the DACH (Germany, Austria and Switzerland) region for more than two decades at JP Morgan Asset Management and Allianz, he will play a significant role in strengthening the firm’s capabilities in the region.

Nick Rees is joining the firm in London where he will help European private clients navigate the intricacies of private wealth. His experience in ESG, alternative investments and structuring will be instrumental in supporting growing demand for sustainable and impact investing services, the firm said. Reporting to Chris Ivey, head of European private client practice, Rees has 23 years of experience in the institutional investing and family office sector from previous positions at firms such as Blu Family Office and Absolute Return Partners.

Devon Zimmerling and Sarah Acheson will also join the firm’s European private client practice. Based in London, they will support the private investment team due to the growing LP demand for these strategies. Zimmerling is re-joining the firm after working in venture capital, while Acheson has transferred from the firm’s real assets team. She will apply her experience in private real estate to help wealthy families with significant real estate allocations and exposures across Europe.

“I’m delighted to welcome these four investors to their new roles at Cambridge Associates,” Christopher Hunter, chief executive officer at CA, said. “Collectively, they significantly bolster our expertise across both private markets and sustainable investments, two key areas of focus as we look to drive forward the success of our business and meet European client demand for these asset classes.”
