Who's Moving Where In Wealth Management? – Julius Baer, Rothschild & Co

The latest moves, appointments, personnel changes and other adjustments in wealth management and related firms across the UK, rest of Europe, Middle East, and select international experiences.

Julius Baer has appointed ex-UBS banker Reto Buerer (main picture) as team head for Asia Switzerland at the Zurich-listed private bank. Buerer, who is based in Zurich, reports to Christian Cappelli, head of Asia Switzerland business.

With more than two decades’ experience in wealth management, Buerer has worked with ultra-high net worth clients in a range of countries in Asia, as well as in Australia and New Zealand.

Prior to the new role, he worked at UBS where he headed Southeast Asia coverage for Credit Suisse from Switzerland.

Buerer's role is a newly-formed one, a spokesperson for the bank told this publication.
