The latest moves and appointments in wealth management in the UK, the rest of Europe, the Middle East and other select locations.
JTC
JTC Law, founded in 2020 and allied to the global service
provider JTC, has
appointed Leanne Wallser, formerly of Walkers and Mourant, as
head of investment funds and corporate.
Wallser will work with Jeremy Garrood, head of insolvency and
dispute resolution, and David Dorgan, head of private client
and international trusts – all based in Jersey – as
well as Mark Groben who sits in the London office.
Wallser is recognised in Chambers and is a recommended lawyer for
both investment funds and corporate work by Legal500. She is also
an active member of the Jersey Funds Association Legal and
Technical Committee.
JTC Law provides services spanning investment funds, corporate
and commercial, dispute resolution and litigation, private client
and international trusts as well as notarial services.
European Structured Investment Product
Association
The
European Structured Investment Product Association (EUSIPA)
has re-elected chair Heike Arbter and named Georg von Wattenwyl
as its new vice chair.
Arbter, who is responsible for the entire retail structured
products business of Raiffeisen Bank International Group, is also
continuing his involvement in the Austrian sector
association.
Von Wattenwyl, who also presides over the Swiss sector
association, in January became global head of structured
solutions, financial institutions, at Vontobel.
EUSIPA members confirmed the board mandates for another two-year
term of Joakim Alpius from Sweden, Jean-Philippe Cavrois from
France, Zak de Mariveles from the United Kingdom, Florence
Devleeschauwer from Belgium, Nicola Francia from Italy, Jürg
Stähelin from Switzerland, Christian Vollmuth from Germany, and
Frank Weingarts from Austria.
EFG International
EFG
International, the Zurich-listed private bank, has re-elected
Alexander Classen as chair of the board of directors for a
further one-year term of office.
As previously announced, Freiherr Bernd-A von Maltzan, who served
as a member of the firm’s board for 11 years, decided not to
stand for re-election. Prasanna Gopalakrishnan was elected as a
new member of the board of directors.
All other members of the board of directors – Emmanuel L
Bussetil, Boris F J Collardi, Roberto Isolani, John S Latsis,
Maria Leistner, Philip J Lofts, Carlo M Lombardini, Périclès
Petalas, Stuart M Robertson and Yok Tak Amy Yip – were also
re-elected for a further one-year term of office ending at the
conclusion of the next AGM.
