IQ-EQ, an investor
services provider, has appointed a dedicated Chinese family
office executive, based in Jersey, as the firm seeks to target
Chinese high net worth people planning to move to the UK and
interested in a Jersey trust.
Briony Sun, IQ-EQ’s new Chinese FO chief executive, will join
the firm’s private wealth team in Jersey.
Sun will promote the firm’s family office services to
Chinese-speaking clients, in particular those originally from
Hong Kong and the Chinese mainland. Her expertise builds on
existing Mandarin capabilities within IQ-EQ’s Jersey team and the
group’s operations in Hong Kong, Singapore and mainland
China.
Prior to this role, Sun founded Jersey’s first Chinese school in
2016. Building upon her experience working at a major offshore
law firm, she also completed her STEP Certificate in
International Trust Management with distinction in the same year.
She holds a bachelor of laws in international politics from
Liaoning University in China, a diploma in translating and
interpreting from Newcastle University, and a master’s degree in
education from the University of Durham.
