The latest senior moves, appointments and personnel changes for the UK, rest of Europe, and select international jurisdictions in wealth management.
Evelyn Partners
Evelyn
Partners has appointed former Canaccord Genuity Wealth
Management figure Craig McGuire (pictured) as an investment
director in its Jersey office.
McGuire has 25 years’ wealth management experience. At CGWM, he
spent nine years as a director in its Jersey office on the
advisory and execution-only desk, and kept a foothold in the
discretionary service of the firm. Prior to that, he was a
discretionary wealth manager at HSBC Global Asset Management and
a senior investment manager at Standard Bank.
Evelyn Partners, which was built from a merger in 2020 of
Tilney and Smith & Williamson, had £61.8 billion ($78.6
million) of assets under management (as at 31 March 2024). It
operates across the UK, the Republic of Ireland, and the Channel
Islands.
Zenzic Capital
Founded in 2014, Zenzic Capital, a
London-based real estate credit and special situations investment
manager, has brought in Chris Blowers as a senior advisor.
Blowers has worked at Royal Bank of Scotland (now NatWest Group),
Allied Irish Bank and Investec Bank. He co-founded Maslow Capital
in 2009, turning the business into a UK provider of property
development finance.
In March this year, Zenzic named Simon Brown as head of real
estate development finance lending. The firm expanded the
team earlier this month with two more hires: Richard
Clouston, VP, development finance, and Edward Barnes, credit
analyst.
In January, Zenzic launched a new £500 million ($637 million) UK
purpose-built student accommodation strategy, which will invest
in existing stock and develop new assets.
