Who's Moving Where In Wealth Management? – Crestbridge, Deepbridge, Others

The latest moves and appointments in wealth management in the UK, the rest of Europe, the Middle East and other select locations.

Crestbridge
Crestbridge, the administration, management and corporate governance solutions business, has named Emily Manning as a director in its real estate team.

Manning has more than 10 years’ experience in the cross-border funds environment. She started her career at Crestbridge where she worked for six years overseeing portfolios of property investment vehicles, before moving to work in the corporate administration sector for a major European banking organisation. Most recently, she was head of fund operations at an international fund service provider.

She holds both the Certificate and Diploma from the Chartered Governance Institute (CGI).

Among recent appointments, Crestbridge named Marcelo Gazzi as a director in its institutional governance services team.

Deepbridge
Venture capital investment specialist, Deepbridge Capital, has appointed former senior Praetura figure Dr Andy Round as senior investment director.

Dr Round was director and head of healthcare at Praetura Ventures and previously worked at Maven Capital Partners and MSIF. In his new slot, Dr Round will work within Deepbridge’s life sciences investment team which manages the Deepbridge Life Sciences EIS fund.

The move comes after Deepbridge’s restructuring programme, which has seen Ben Carter promoted to life sciences head. It has also added Simon Thelwall-Jones, David Blake and Oliver Wheatley to its tech investment team, and named Dr Savvas Neophytou as chief investment officer.

The firm has more than ÂŁ230 million ($280.9 million) invested so far, of which 75 per cent is put to work outside London. The business says it is one of the most active regional early-stage investors in the UK.

Gravis Capital
Specialist UK investment advisory firm Gravis Capital Management has appointed Ed Simpson as head of energy and infrastructure to oversee all direct infrastructure and renewables investment activity.

Gravis was established in 2008 and now has about ÂŁ3 billion of AuM.

Prior to this, Simpson was a fund manager at Gresham House where he focused on real asset investments in the sustainable infrastructure space. Prior to Gresham House, he was at Downing, The Carbon Trust and Bridges Ventures.
