BNY
BNY has appointed Madiha
Sattar (main picture) as managing director and growth ventures
partner, in a global role based in the United Arab Emirates.
Sattar will play a strategic role working with clients in the
region to build and invest in regional and global opportunities
across financial-markets data and analytics, wealth technology,
and alternative-assets data and distribution, the
US-headquartered group said in a statement yesterday.
With over 20 years’ industry experience across operating and
strategy roles, Sattar joins from Careem, a MENA region
technology group, where she built and led several new businesses.
Prior to that, Sattar worked at JP Morgan Chase and McKinsey &
Company in New York. She is a Dubai Future Fellow, and one of 25
experts selected by the Dubai leadership to advise on sectors
relevant to its future.
BNY has been operating in the UAE for over 26 years and was
recently granted a category 4 licence by the Financial Services
Regulatory Authority enabling the company to expand its range of
solutions offered to clients within the Abu Dhabi Global Market,
and continue supporting the development of the Gulf Cooperation
Council’s capital markets landscape.
Deepbridge Capital
Deepbridge
Capital, a UK venture capital investment manager, has
appointed of Andrew Aldridge as chief operating officer.
Aldridge, who joined Deepbridge in 2014 initially as head of marketing and more recently as chief marketing officer, will now lead the company’s strategic projects and growth strategy. This new role is part of a broader management restructuring at Deepbridge, following the appointments earlier this year of Fuchsia Curry as commercial director, Steven Powell as sales director, and Phillip Secrette as operations director.
Aldridge sits on Deepbridge’s operational partnership board alongside Ian Warwick, founder and managing partner, Gareth Groome, CFO, and Dr Savvas Neophytou, CIO.
Prior to joining Deepbridge, Aldridge spent four years with national IFA firm Perspective. He has previous experience within the financial and professional services sectors in senior marketing and distribution roles. He is also a board member of the Enterprise Investment Scheme Association (EISA).

With about £300 million ($382.6 million) of assets under management, Deepbridge specialises in tax-efficient investments. To date, Deepbridge has supported spin outs from 17 different universities, received a £15 million co-funding mandate from British Business Investment’s Regional Angels Programme in 2021, and over the past two years, more than 90 per cent of Deepbridge’s investments have been outside of London, supporting innovators across England, Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland.
Broadridge Financial Solutions
Broadridge
Financial Solutions, a global fintech firm, has
appointed Stephanie Clarke as head of international strategy and
corporate development, based in London.
Previously, Clarke served as senior vice president of data and analytics at Broadridge. In her new role, she will spearhead the execution of the company’s strategic initiatives while collaborating with the mergers and acquisitions team to enhance the international corporate development pipeline through mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and partnerships. She will also establish an International Market Advocacy Platform to add strength to the Broadridge brand and foster industry growth.
“Stephanie’s contributions across our data and analytics business have been integral to our organisational growth. In her new role, she will work to advance Broadridge’s global strategy by further enhancing our geographic profile and client reach,” Mike Sleightholme, president of Broadridge International, said.
Clarke joined Broadridge in 2016 from BlackRock, where she was the global head of market intelligence. In her eight years at Broadridge, she played a pivotal role in enhancing market and brand awareness. She also contributed significantly to the company's growth through client development, new product initiatives, and strategic acquisitions. Clarke will continue to co-chair the company’s Women’s Leadership Forum and advocate for diversity, equity and inclusion across the organisation.
Gen II Fund Services
Gen II
Fund Services (Gen II) has appointed Paul Spendiff as head of
business development for Europe as the private capital fund
administrator continues to focus on the evolution of its
transatlantic services capabilities in support of its clients’
growth ambitions.
Working closely with the Gen II senior leadership team, Spendiff will be responsible for leading the growth and development of the business across its European jurisdictions, building on its reputation for delivering high quality, solution-driven services for private capital asset managers and investors worldwide.
With over 25 years’ experience in the financial services industry, and particular expertise in asset management, Spendiff is joining from a global financial services provider where he was global head of fund sales with responsibility for developing and overseeing the firm’s global sales strategy.
