Who's Moving Where In Wealth Management? – 4most, Fairway, Others
The latest moves, appointments and personnel changes among wealth management and related organisations in the UK, the rest of Europe, the Middle East, Africa and select international locations.
4most
Specialist analytics and risk management consultancy 4most has just appointed Colin
Haines to join its senior team as a new client partner for BPA
Market Services based in the London office.
Haines will spearhead 4most’s activity in a growing market that has experienced record levels of transactions in recent years, the firm said in a statement. With 10 insurers now competing for more than 250 UK deals with over £40 billion ($51 billion) premiums a year, the mission statement of 4most’s BPA market services team is to help individual insurers write one more deal a month.
Over a 30-year career, Haines has served in partner and EMEA leadership roles at major global and European pensions and actuarial consulting firms, advising multinationals, pension funds, insurers and regulators.
Haines’ move follows a 12-year tenure at Aon, where he served as EMEA chief commercial officer for Aon’s Wealth Solutions business unit. He is also co-founder and CEO of Haines Global Pensions.
Industry estimates predict that UK insurers could take on more
than £500 billion ($638 billion) of BPA premiums over the
next decade. BPA insurers face pressure to grow their teams and
transform their businesses to capture market share. Areas of
focus include automating processes, managing data better,
introducing new technology including machine learning, refining
pricing and reserving, optimising matching adjustments, measuring
funded reinsurance risks, and carrying out credit portfolio
management reviews.
