Titan
Investment Solutions, the investment arm of the UK’s Titan
Wealth group, has expanded its fixed income fund range with
the launch of two new funds in its fixed income range.
The Titan Core Credit Fund and Titan Short Duration IG Income Fund complement the ÂŁ235 million ($315 million) Titan Hybrid Capital Bond Fund.
The funds will be managed by Peter Doherty, Titan’s head of fixed income, who has over 35 years’ experience in the credit markets. He is supported by an investment team made up of associate, Chris Turdean, and junior portfolio manager, Alex Livingstone, who are part of the wider TISL investment team led by Ian Wood, chief investment officer.
Wood, who is also CIO of the UK’s Titan Private Wealth, recently took responsibility for investment decisions at Titan Investment Solutions, as group CIO. See more commentary here.
Titan Core Credit Fund primarily invests in senior investment grade corporate bonds issued by mainstream, large cap companies. Highly diversified by country, industry and security type, the fund aims to provide a stable and core fixed income building block for portfolios. It aims to outperform the GBP Hedged Bloomberg Global Aggregate Corporate Index on a rolling three-year basis, with an initial modified duration of 6.2 years.
Titan Short Duration IG Income Fund invests primarily in AAA/AA liquid bonds with low duration and limited volatility. The fund aims to generate a return of 0.5 per cent above the Bank of England Base Rate on a rolling one-year basis, with a maximum duration of 1.5 years. Typically 60 to 80 per cent of the portfolio will be allocated to AAA/AA investment grade bonds, including covered bonds, sovereign debt and supranational credits.
The launches follow Titan Wealth’s appointments of Peter Doherty and Chris Turdean in November 2023 and build on the Titan Hybrid Capital Bond Fund.
