What’s New In Investments, Funds? – Nordea Asset Management

The latest news in investment offerings, financial products and other services relative to wealth advisors and their clients.

Nordea Asset Management
Nordea Asset Management (NAM), part of the Nordea Group, a large financial services group in the Nordic region, has just closed NPE Co-Investment Fund I (Nordea Private Equity), after securing €160.5 million ($173 million) in committed capital.

The fund, which harnesses NAM's global investor network, has secured commitments from a wide range of stakeholders – including institutional investors, banks and private wealth entities. Building on more than 15 years of experience in private equity investments, the fund capitalises on the relationships fostered by NAM's private equity team across its Nordic offices.

Moreover, the integration of GP-led secondaries enables the fund to implement an investment strategy focused on supporting prominent, cash-generative companies in attractive sectors, thereby creating value for investors and stakeholders. It is classified as an Article 8 fund under the EU Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation (SFDR), the firm said in a statement.

"It is no secret that raising money for a first-time fund in a tough fundraising market in general is not an easy exercise. But despite this, we have experienced strong interest in our first PE co-investment vintage fund,” Anders Madsen, head of institutional and wholesale distribution, northern Europe, at Nordea Asset Management, said.

Nordea Asset Management, with assets under management of €264 billion, is part of the Nordea Group, which has AuM of €400 billion. It has a presence in Bonn, Brussels, Copenhagen, Frankfurt, Helsinki, Lisbon, London, Luxembourg, Madrid, Milan, New York, Oslo, Paris, Santiago de Chile, Singapore, Stockholm, Vienna and Zurich.
