ABN
AMRO Investment Solutions has just launched ABN AMRO Boston
Common Emerging Markets ESG Equities Fund, sub-managed by Boston
Common AM.
ABN AMRO Investment Solutions, the European distributor of Boston
Common AM UCITS funds since their partnership began in 2020, will
distribute this new fund to European investors through its
platform, the firm said in a statement.
The fund invests in a high-conviction portfolio of 40 to 60 high-quality, primarily large and mid-capitalisation companies with strong ESG profiles based in emerging markets such as Brazil, China, Indonesia, and India. The fossil fuel-free fund, based on the Boston Common Emerging Markets Equity Strategy, has a high-quality core ESG style that seeks companies addressing global sustainability challenges and opportunities, the firm continued.
The fund will be managed by three managers, Liz Su (lead), Matt Zalosh, and Praveen Abichandani, and supported by Boston Common’s ESG research and engagement team. The Boston Common Emerging Markets Equity Strategy, launched in 2012, currently manages around $370 million.
The fund will be available to clients residing in the following countries, exclusively: Austria, Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Spain, Sweden, and Switzerland.
Robeco
International asset manager Robeco has just launched a new
Global Multi-Thematic strategy, which aims to help clients seek
long-term returns from megatrends.
By bottom-up stock picking across its thematic strategies, Robeco aims to amplify overall returns while minimising the concentration risks and volatility associated with single themes. It builds on the existing megatrends fund, with a history of over 10 years. The current global total assets under management for active thematic equities is over €400 billion ($435 billion), with an expected annual organic growth of more than 10 per cent.
The Global Multi-Thematic strategy is a global equity portfolio, classified as Article 8 under the EU’s Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation (SFDR). It draws from Robeco’s thematic range to capture the upside potential of powerful themes while mitigating downside risk. The strategy allocates exposure to promising underlying themes and companies from Robeco’s range of thematic equity strategies. The strategy targets three key trends: transforming technologies, changing socio-demographics, and preserving earth, the firm added.
Robeco’s multi-thematic strategy will be led by a team of three portfolio managers – Dora Buckulcikova, Marco van Lent, Steef Bergakker – and two investment analysts, together with a network of Robeco thematic ambassadors, the firm said.
