First Republic Bank, the San Francisco-headquartered provider of private banking and wealth management services, is to open a Montclair office to meet demand from its growing number of East Bay clients, according to a statement.

Silvia Fernandez, senior managing director for the East Bay operations, will oversee the relationship manager teams in the Montclair and Walnut Creek offices. She was most recently head of private client services for Silicon Valley Bank.

Joining Fernandez in the Montclair office are managing directors Iris Chavarria and Martha Johnson Mastracci.

The new office is the bank's seventh in the East Bay, and part of the its continuing expansion in the area.

Founded in 1985, First Republic offers banking and wealth management services through offices in San Francisco, Palo Alto, Los Angeles, Santa Barbara, Newport Beach, San Diego, Portland, Boston, Greenwich and New York City.
