Figures from the European wealth management industry gathered in London for the first-ever WealthBriefing Awards for outstanding firms, teams and individuals in the industry.

Companies and individual luminaries in the European wealth management industry were honoured for their outstanding achievements at the inaugural WealthBriefing Awards 2013 event held at a place where people are used to sitting in judgement – the Royal Courts of Justice in London.

The awards, designed to recognise best practice in an industry challenged by ever-increasing client demands for service and returns in a difficult economic environment, were presented to firms across a variety of categories.

Organised by ClearView Financial Media - publisher of this website - the awards evening was hosted by BBC television presenter Sophie Raworth, and opened by Stephen Harris, managing director of ClearView Financial Media.  Bruce Weatherill, chairman of ClearView Financial Media, well known as a leading expert on the wealth management sector, also addressed the audience. Another speaker was Martin Engdal, director of product marketing from Advent Software, the headline sponsor of the event at which about 400 guests were present.

Live music was provided by the electric string quartet, Stellini.
