Way Group Lists Ascentric Funds For Mitigating IHT

UK financial services firm The Way Group has listed all funds available for inheritance tax mitigation through its link with the Ascentric wrap platform, a software platform used to aggregate client investments which allows independent financial advisors to manage all their clients' assets in one place.
The funds mean that IFAs seeking ways to protect their clients’ assets from inheritance tax can manage bespoke portfolios that meet individual investment objectives.
“We have a formidable range of funds now available via the Ascentric platform, including low cost exchange traded funds and IFA favourites such as Ruffer Equity & General,” said WAY Group director Eddie O’Gorman, in a statement.
The WAY IHT services that are available on the Ascentric platform include the WAY Flexible Inheritor Plan, the WAY ‘Gifts from Income’ Plan and the WAY Inheritor Loan Plan.
“Inheritance tax planning continues to be a crucial issue for many clients and the WAY IHT plans provide IFAs with the financial planning solutions to address this issue. The wide choice of funds available on the Ascentric platform also enables IFAs to deliver IHT mitigation to suit individual circumstances as well as the ability to manage their clients’ IHT portfolios effectively,” said Mr O’Gorman.
“Indeed, the choice of funds reads like a who’s who of top fund managers; whether the client is risk averse or wishes to gain exposure to more active sectors ahead of the market recovery, or specialist products like the WAY Life Settlements Fund. It really is a case of there being something for everyone,” he added.
Fund managers now available via the platform include M&G, Gartmore, Fidelity, Credit Suisse, Schroders, Liontrust, Threadneedle, Invesco Perpetual, Henderson and Foreign & Colonial.
Ascentric allows direct holdings of unit trusts, OEICs, equities, bonds, life assurances and cash. The service allows IFAs and their clients to record assets and/or liabilities like property, mortgages, loans and life assurance policies.
Incorporated in 1996, The Way Group is a privately owned financial services group. The founders of the company include ex-independent financial advisors who specialised in offering portfolio management services to private and corporate investors.
