Ex-Bank of America veteran replaces Anne Alexander, who has been promoted. Charlotte, N.C.-based Wachovia has put former Bank of America executive William Bourbeau in charge of its top-tier wealth-management operations in Florida. Bourbeau Replaces Anne Alexander, who has been named head of "strategy and execution" for Wachovia's Florida's ultra-high-net-worth group.

"Hiring an industry veteran like Bill Bourbeau, who is extremely familiar with the Florida market and the clients we serve, demonstrates our commitment to this region," says Stan Gregor, president of Wealth Markets for Wachovia Wealth Management.

Before joining Wachovia, Bourbeau was head of Bank of America's Premier Banking & Investment Group in Florida, a high-end retail segment. But he has also been in charge of the Private Bank of Bank of America's operations in Northern California and served as its head of "talent planning." Prior to joining Charlotte, N.C.-based Bank of America, Bourbeau was with Merrill Lynch for nearly 15 years. -FWR
