Wachovia Wealth Management and Wachovia Trust have created a recommended-manager list, which includes 117 account managers and mutual funds. The list includes traditional investment strategies, such as domestic and international equities and fixed income, as well as alternative strategies for high-net-worth investors, such as hedge funds, commodities, real estate and private equity. The new open architecture platform, called Advantage, currently includes 117 separate account managers and mutual funds, plus 124 state-specific municipal strategies. Wachovia is the fourth-largest wealth manager in the US, according to Barron's 2005 ranking of US Wealth Managers, with $298 billion in assets under management.
