WEALTHTALK: The Evolving Bahamas Financial Story – Webinar

Here is a webinar in which senior figures in the Bahamian financial and government field talked about how the jurisdiction is addressing challenges and adapting to new trends.
Senior figures in the financial, regulatory and wealth management
sector of the Bahamas recently sat down with ClearView chief
executive Stephen Harris to discuss how the Caribbean
jurisdiction is evolving. Here is the video
recording of that discussion, held in the Bahamas.
In this webinar, they talked about the jurisdiction’s regulatory
framework; how the Bahamas authorities are determined to meet
international compliance standards in areas such as anti-money
laundering (AML), continued due diligence (CDD) and
counter-terrorist financing (CTF). The speakers also addressed
how a stable Bahamian dollar contributes to a secure financial
environment.
The following individuals took part in the webinar:
Antoine Bastian, Genesis Fund Services;
Shonalee Munroe, Genesis Fund Services;
Iyandra Bryan-Smith, Quantfury;
Paul Winder, Deltec;
Ivylyn Cassar, Equity Bank Bahamas;
Gilbert Cassar, Equity Bank Bahamas;
Karen Rolle, Central Bank of The Bahamas;
Dana Munnings-Gray, Insurance Commission of the Bahamas;
and
Niekia Horton, BFSB.
Take-home points from the webinar include how the jurisdiction
has been nimble in identifying ways of developing products;
building private/public partnerships; and how the Bahamas is
politically and legally stable.
The financial services sector, which is an important component of
the Bahamian economy, is fundamental to its continued growth and
the wellbeing of the population.
