Vistra Buys Trust Firm In The Caribbean

Vistra, the fiduciary and trust service provider, has acquired IMC Management & Trust, a trust service provider based on the island Curaçao in the Caribbean, for an undisclosed sum.

The company’s managing director, Gerard Jan van Spall, said in a statement that he sees the acquisition as an important part of the company’s goal to become a force to be reckoned with in the region.

In June, Vistra became the first fiduciary service provider on the Dutch Antilles island of Bonaire officially licensed by the Dutch Central Bank.

Vistra has relations with Curaçao and Bonaire dating back to 1994, when the company was regulated by the Central Bank of the Netherlands Antilles and subsequently the Central Bank of Curacao and St Maarten.
