United Capital Hires Chief Investment Strategist

Newport Beach, CA-headquartered United Capital Financial Advisers has brought in Rob Brown as a senior vice president and chief investment strategist to enhance the firm’s investment and advice platform.

Brown has over 25 years of experience in portfolio management for large foundations, endowments, pensions and ultra high net worth investors. His past roles have included senior positions at Genworth Financial, SEI and Envestnet.

Last month United Capital added Seattle-based Paragon Investment Management to its national partnership of firms. Paragon works with wealthy families, with its wealthiest clients having assets of up to $100 million, and has $1 billion in assets under management.

Likewise, last September the firm added Atlanta, GA-based Sanders Financial Management in a step towards its goal of growing in the Southeast.

United Capital, which was founded in 2005, has 316 employees and around $15 billion in assets under advisement, as at the end of 2012.
