UniCredit Appoints Investment Head In Milan
The Italian bank creates new leadership role to bolster key client services in core European markets.
UniCredit has named former JP Morgan advisory head, Davide Lombardo, to lead investment advisory and key clients for the Italian lender in a newly-created role. He starts immediately, and will serve in the bank’s wealth management arm under UniCredit Commercial Banking for Western Europe.
Announcing the new post on Monday, the bank said that Lombardo’s objective will be "to enrich the wealth management value proposition for the group’s key clients in all its core geographies, including Italy, Germany and Austria," and position the business for sustainable growth.
Lombardo will be based in Milan and will report to group wealth management chief Marco Bizzozero.
Before joining UniCredit, he spent a decade at JP Morgan in Geneva as managing director and advisory lead for the investment bank's Swiss and European market. Before that, he worked at UBS in London, where he served in the investment banking division.
