US Analytics Firm Adds Morningstar Funds Database To Market Terminal

Interactive Data Corporation, the US financial information and analytics vendor, has integrated the Morningstar European fund database into its financial market terminal, PrimeTerminalSM Professional Edition.

Morningstar’s database provides information on 60,000 investment funds registered in Europe, including daily prices, key figures such as Sharpe ratio, alpha and beta, fund currency, volume, and Morningstar ratings.

By integrating this database with PrimeTerminal, Interactive Data aims to enable investment advisors and asset managers to perform rapid fund analyses and to facilitate a more efficient advisory process. Users can access information relating to the investment structure of the individual funds, broken down by country, sector or currency.

In addition, PrimeTerminal now has a filter tool to help search for specific listed funds and Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs), along with a risk return map fund analytics tool, which is designed to help users compare the risks and volatilities of funds based on different timeframes and fund categories.

"This significant extension of our fund data offering to include Morningstar data, combined with the new and enhanced search and analytics functions, can help investment advisors – particularly those in the wealth management segment – to increase the efficiency of their daily workflow processes," said Carsten Dirks, managing director of Interactive Data’s Managed Solutions business.
