US's Aladdin Names Chief Economist

Connecticut-based boutique investment bank and hedge fund manager Aladdin Capital Holdings has hired Kathleen Stephansen to the new position of chief economist.
Ms Stephansen has previously worked as head of global economics at Credit Suisse (2000-2009) and co-head of economic research and chief international economist in the fixed income division of Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette (1984-2000).
Neal Neilinger, chief investment officer at Aladdin, said: “Current market events and investment decisions are being driven by macroeconomic developments as the economy faces the double challenge of overcoming a dramatic cyclical downturn and equally profound structural changes.”
