UK Wealth Manager Continues Expansion with Towry Law Hire

Conforto Financial Management, a fee-based independent financial advisor specialising in high net worth individuals, is continuing its expansion with the appointment of a senior wealth advisor from wealth manager Towry Law and a new graduate advisor.

The appointments follow its acquisition in July of the McCroddan Partnership which took the number of staff to 15.

Adam Osper is joining from Towry Law’s London office, which he joined when it acquired previous employer MLP Private Finance. There Mr Osper ran the London office with a team of 16 advisors.  Will Myers is also joining, as a graduate trainee.

Conforto aims to open a London office shortly as part of plans, which include further acquisitions, to build a company with assets under management of £500 million-plus (about $900 million).

Conforto, which is based in the southern English county of Hertfordshire, aims to build its exclusively fee-based business through a series of acquisitions and by widening its client base among high net worth individuals. In the year to March 2008 fee income at Conforto was more than £1.1 million and assets under management were in excess of £50 million.

Currently the firm advises clients such as Ryder Cup golfer Ian Poulter, former England and Arsenal footballer Lee Dixon, former boxing World Champion Barry McGuigan and ex-Rugby Union and Rugby League star Jonathan Davies. All four are minority shareholders.
