UK Wealth Manager Changes Investment Process To Suit Clients' Risk Appetite

Rowan Dartington, the UK-based stockbroker and wealth manager, has created a new risk-rated investment process for its private client business and its IFA investment management arm, Signature.

The new system will construct portfolios within risk limits agreed with the client in order to achieve an outcome suitable for the particular client's appetite and expectations.

The firm also said that the new proposition makes the business ready for the UK regulator’s Retail Distribution Review, which will come into force at the start of next year.

Rowan Dartington is the latest in a string of firms to make moves in preparation for the implementation of the RDR at the start of 2013, which aims to make the industry more transparent and client-friendly. Last week, Rathbone Unit Trust Management said it will stop charging commission for its entire fund range from the start of next month.
