A former pay-per-click manager at UK financial advisor and
investment firm Hargreaves Lansdown, Mark Churchill, has joined
the financial planning website and app, YourWealth.co.uk. He
takes on the role of paid acquisition manager.
At Hargreaves
Lansdown, Churchill led its PPC advertising, retargeting and
paid content marketing campaigns, and introduced paid content
marketing campaigns and display retargeting to the firm.
In his new job, Churchill reports to the Bristol-headquartered
firm’s founding director Toby Hughes. His role is a newly created
one.
“Mark’s role is crucial to ensuring our proposition reaches those
millions of people in the UK who need a helping hand with their
financial planning, as well as the many thousands of financial
advisors who want to build their client base and engage better
with their existing clients,” he said.
YourWealth.co.uk, launched a year ago, is a kind of business
looking to exploit changes in the wealth advisory landscape
caused, to some extent, by the Retail Distribution Review
programme of regulatory reforms. These changes have made
traditional models of financial advice more costly, encouraging
some firms to look at more internet-based models instead. On its
website, the business states: “Whether you've got £5 or £50
million, our free to use site is designed to help you take
control of your money and plan for your financial future.”
Mark Churchill said: “YourWealth.co.uk is a tremendously
innovative company and answers two huge needs: making it much
easier to get the ‘big picture’ on your money matters, and making
it far easier and more affordable to get advice when you need it.
The digital revolution currently taking place in the UK financial
services industry is still in its early days, it’s going to
change a lot of things for the better and I want to be part of
making that happen.”
