UK Asset Manager Partners With Pershing's US Investment, Custody Platform

The new partnership will enable the UK firm to manage US pensions as part of a US and UK client’s investment plan.
Sarasin Asset
Management, a registered investment advisor with the SEC
since 2003 and regulated in the UK, has entered into a strategic
partnership with Pershing Advisors’ US investment and custody
platform.
US expats often have difficulty managing their legacy individual
retirement accounts (IRAs) from the UK or elsewhere. The
Sarasin and Pershing Advisors
partnership will now enable the UK firm to manage these US
pensions as part of a US and UK client’s investment plan, the
firms said in a statement.
“The special relationship between the US and the UK promotes an
increasing number of transatlantic families and global executive
moves, and with this comes a number of specific investment and
savings challenges too,” said John Soler, investment director of
Sarasin Asset Management. “Without the right access to US and UK
investment platforms or an investment advisor with the access and
the specialist knowledge of both countries’ pension products,
clients are left within incomplete investment plans and neglected
legacy pension investments.”

its US expat operation in the UK.
