UK's Seneca Appoints Former Aberdeen Asia Pacific Strategy Head

Liverpool-based Seneca Investment Managers has appointed Peter Elston to the newly-created role of global investment strategist.

Liverpool-based Seneca Investment Managers has appointed Peter Elston to the newly-created role of global investment strategist.

Elston was previously at Aberdeen Asset Management, where he was head of Asia Pacific strategy and asset allocation.

He will be responsible for the asset allocation and regional spread of Seneca Investment Managers’ two multi-asset OEICs, as well as the Seneca Global Income & Growth Trust, Seneca said in a statement.

Before joining Aberdeen in 2008, Elston was at Oblong Capital Management, Northpoint Investment Partners and Mercury Asset Management.

Seneca Investment Managers acquired Miton Capital Partners earlier this year for £6.4 million ($10.5 million).
