UK's Kames Capital Adds To Funds Team

This publication brings latest news on wealth management moves and appointments.
Kames Capital, the UK investment house, is adding two co-managers to a pair of its funds. These are the Kames Strategic Bond Fund and the Kames Strategic Global Bond Fund.
Juan Valenzuela becomes co-manager on the UK domiciled Kames Strategic Bond Fund alongside David Roberts and Phil Milburn. He will also become support manager on the Dublin-domiciled fund.
Meanwhile, Colin Finlayson will become co-manager with Roberts and Milburn on the Dublin-domiciled Kames Strategic Global Bond Fund, with Valenzuela becoming support manager. Finlayson will also remain support manager on the UK version of the fund, Kames Capital said in a statement yesterday.
Valenzuela joined Kames in October from Alliance Trust, where he was an investment manager on its Dynamic Bond Fund. Previously, he was investment director on the SWIP Absolute Return Bond Fund.
Finlayson, who is also co-manager of the Kames Absolute Return Bond Fund, has been support manager on the UK version since November 2011 and has been with Kames since 2000.
Operating from London and Edinburgh, Kames Capital has a total of around 300 staff and oversees £55.7 billion ($82.3 billion) for clients including wealth managers, advisors and family offices.
