UK's Fundpath Continues Business Expansion
The business, founded in 2021, is part of an expanding fund information industry that has benefited from big advances in technology in recent decades.
UK data and business intelligence firm Fundpath, which recently completed a second round of capital-raising from Fuel Ventures, has hired Trustnet co-founder Dominic Timberlake as a non-executive director, and Leanne van der Hoeven as chief marketing officer.
Timberlake (pictured below), who has worked in the fund information industry for three decades, co-founded investment fund data provider Trustnet in 1995, (the company acquired by Financial Express in 2002). He joined the Financial Express board at that time and remained with the business until the end of 2022. The business was rebranded as FE and, after investment from Hg Capital in 2018, it was rebranded again to FE fundinfo in the wake of its merger with Fundinfo and F2C.

Van der Hoeven (pictured below) is joining from EPFR where
she was global head of operations and strategy; she made
significant contributions to the divestiture and the scalable
solutions post sale, Fundpath said. She has more than 15 years’
experience in the financial and fintech sectors.

Fundpath has onboarded more than 100 asset management firms. Data is gathered from more than 1,000 wealth management organisations in the UK, the Channel Islands, and Ireland, then shared with fund distribution teams to help streamline communication, improving everyone’s professional lives.
Fundpath, launched in 2021, recently wrapped up a £4 million ($5.09 million) late seed funding round with Fuel Ventures, the UK venture capital business. Jamie Hinchliffe is chief executive and co-founder; Allan Goodridge is also a co-founder, and chief commercial officer, and Tom Porter is chief technology officer, data officer, and a co-founder. Adam Harrison is chief growth officer.
