UBS names an investment-strategy head in Australia

Former Macquarie strategist joins the Swiss megabank's Melbourne operations. UBS Wealth Management has made George Boubouras head of its investment, strategy and consulting division in Australia. He reports to Andrew Williamson, executive director for UBS' business in Australia and New Zealand.

Boubouras joins Zurich-based UBS from Australia's Macquarie Group, where he was an investment strategist. He has also worked as a credit portfolio manager at Challenger Financial Services Group and at HSBC Asset Management (now HSBC Investments).

Melbourne-based Boubouras will direct teams working with high-net-worth clients on asset allocation, strategy and valuation. -FWR
