UBS Wealth Management Americas Brings In The Experts
UBS Wealth Management Americas has created an advisory board of financial experts and “thought leaders” from across the industry to help advisors and clients.
UBS Wealth Management Americas has created an advisory board of financial experts and “thought leaders” from across the industry to help advisors and clients, the Swiss firm said yesterday.
The Research Advisory Board is to be led by Mike Ryan, chief investment strategist at UBS Wealth Management, and feature eight external investment experts.
The move is notable in how a large wealth management firm is openly acknowledging the need for external advice and support for clients, in some cases drawing on individuals working for rival banks.
The experts are:
Richard Bernstein, chief executive of Richard Bernstein Advisors;
Dr David Kelly, chief market strategist for JP Morgan Funds;
Henry McVey, head of global and macro asset allocation for Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co;
Dr Laurence Meyer, senior managing director at Macroeconomic Advisers and a former member of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve;
Helena Morrissey, CEO of Newton Capital Management Limited, part of BNY Mellon;
Rick Rieder, chief investment officer of fixed income at BlackRock;
Nick Thakore, portfolio manager and co-head of US equities at Putnam Investment Management, and
Catherine Wood, CIO of thematic portfolios at AllianceBernstein.
As well as adding collaborative reports and research projects, the Research Advisory Board will bring insights to Wealth Management Americas’ investment committee.
“Today’s investment world has never been more complex or uncertain, and more than ever, clients need a higher level of specialisation and the ability to draw on the best thinking available,” said Ryan.
