UBS Nabs Veteran Broker From Merrill Lynch In Illinois - Report

UBS Wealth Management Americas has bolstered its Northbrook, IL, advisor force with the addition of Thomas Temple from Bank of America's Merrill Lynch, Reuters reports.

At Merrill - where he worked for over 25 years - Temple managed about $240 million in client assets, with annual revenue production of approximately $1.2 million.

UBS had not responded to a request from Family Wealth Report to comment on the move in time for publication. However, the firm reportedly confirmed the move to Reuters.

Since the start of 2012, UBS Wealth Management Americas has added at least 69 veteran advisors or teams managing over $9.8 billion in clients assets at their former firms, according to moves tracked by the news service.

Yesterday it emerged the firm has bolstered its broker force in Aventura, FL, bringing in a team of advisors from Morgan Stanley Wealth Management. Advisors Michael Bulhack, Mario Ponczek and Douglas Ponczek previously managed $423 million in client assets and generated $1.6 million in annual revenue.
