UBS Appoints Wealth Management Head For Saudi Arabia, Near East, North Africa

UBS has appointed Ali Janoudi as head of wealth management for Saudi Arabia, the Near East and North Africa, a role in which he will oversee the Swiss bank’s advisory office in Saudi Arabia and its representative offices in Lebanon and Egypt.

Janoudi joins from Banque SBA in Paris, where he was vice chairman. In his prior career he had been a member of the board of directors of Banque Libano-Française in Beirut and worked for Chase Manhattan Private Bank in Luxembourg and Geneva over several years.

In his new role he will report to Anton Simonet, head of wealth management for the Middle East, Asia and Africa, and will be working closely with him on the bank’s strategy and recruitment efforts for the region.

“He [Janoudi] has a distinguished career in wealth management in the Near East and Saudi Arabian markets and his appointment reinforces UBS's strong commitment to our clients in these important markets," Simonet said in a statement.
