Towry Law Expands in Manchester

UK fee-based wealth advisor Towry Law has opened its new premises in central Manchester's Piccadilly district. The office, which is four times larger than the firm’s previous Manchester office, will initially have 29 wealth advisors and support staff, though this number is likely to increase during 2008. Andy Cowan, Towry Law's head of Private Client, said in a statement: "We have had a presence in the city for many years, and now with the rapid growth of Towry Law across the UK, are in position to increase significantly our commitment to Manchester and the Northwest." Towry Law currently has 10 offices throughout the UK and employs over 650 private and corporate wealth advisors, in addition to support staff. In March Towry Law acquired Baker Tilly Financial Services, the financial advisory division within accountant Baker Tilly. In October it also completed its acquisition of the UK activities of MLP Private Finance, an independent financial advisor that focused on providing specialist financial planning and wealth management advice to professionals.
