The UK wealth manager has made two appointments to its team in Belfast, Northern Ireland.

Towry has hired Alex Price and Michelle Murphy from Grant Thornton within its Belfast office.

Price, previously a wealth manager at Grant Thornton, will join as a financial planner and wealth manager. She brings over 20 years of wealth management experience, having also worked for Aon and Standard Life. In her new role, she will look after personal injury and clinical negligence clients in Northern Ireland.

Murphy joins the team as a wealth planner. She was previously a paraplanner at Grant Thornton and has also worked at Arthur Dodds & Company.

“Alex and Michelle...will both be a huge asset to the business as we look to continue developing our Belfast team,” said Alan Laverty, wealth manager at Towry.

Recent hires for the company include Paul Sayers, who joined last month as a wealth advisor within the Guildford office, as well as Paul Hudson and Simon Davis, who became financial planners in Leeds.

Towry had £9.1 billion ($13 billion) of client assets under management or advice as of the end of 2015.
