The UK wealth manager has expanded its team in Leeds, Yorkshire.

Towry has hired Paul Hudson and Simon Davis as financial planners within its Leeds office.

Hudson, who has 13 years of industry experience, spent the last five years as a financial planner at Oakleaf Independent Financial Services. He previously worked at Lloyds Banking Group and Tenet Group.

Davis joins from Gale and Phillipson, where he helped grow the North East operation. He has 14 years of industry experience. He recently set up his own financial planning businesses, serving accountancy and law professionals in the North East.

“They will both be a big asset to our growing team in Leeds and I am delighted to have them on board,” said Mark McCormack, manager at Towry.

Towry, which employs around 900 people across its network of UK offices, had £9.1 billion ($13.1 billion) of client assets under management or advice at the end of 2015, up 42 per cent from a year earlier. The firm is in the process of being acquired by fellow UK wealth manager Tilney Bestinvest.
