The Hartford Hires Head Of Strategic Markets For Wealth

The Hartford, the insurance and wealth management services company, has hired Michael Gregg as head of strategic markets for its wealth management business. 

Gregg joins the firm from AXA Global Distributors in Paris, where he served as managing director of a unit that distributes guaranteed investment products through third-parties in Europe and Asia. Before that, he was senior vice president for wholesale strategy and operations and head of the strategic initiatives group. He has also worked as a management consultant for McKinsey & Company in New York and San Francisco.

At The Hartford, he will cover strategic relationships, advanced markets, merger and acquisition activity and strategic initiatives. He reports directly to David Levenson, president of the firm's wealth management division. 

The Hartford Financial has wealth management assets under management totalling $309.6 billion as of 30 June 2011.
