TD Wealth, a subsidiary of TD Bank, has appointed John Strickland as vice president, private banking officer for its Charleston, South Carolina branch.

Strickland has previously been a wealth manager at the likes of SunTrust, BB&T, and Wachovia. He brings 14 years of wealth management and financial services experience to this role, where he will be responsible for banking, credit, mortgage, investment management, trust, and financial planning services for high net worth individuals and groups in the coastal region.

TD Bank has around 1,250 retail branches throughout the US and records $189 billion in total assets as of 30 April 2011.
