Syz Launches Swiss Franc Fund Classes, Makes Two Hires

Geneva-headquartered private bank and asset manager Syz & Co has launched a Swiss franc class for seven of its flagship Oyster funds, which are already available in Switzerland in other currencies.

The seven are the US Value, Global Convertibles, European Opportunities, European Small Cap, Credit Opportunities and Market Neutral funds.

The group says it is targeting the needs of the Swiss market, which it sees as a key area for development. The firm has also made two hires into the now eight-strong Oyster commercial team, Jérôme Gaberell from Polaris Investment Advisory and Gaëtan Croix from Aviva Investments.

Syz currently has assets under management totalling SFr25 billion (about $28 billion).
