Swiss Bank Hires Head Of Retail

Switzerland's Banque Cantonal Vaudoise has added José François Sierdo as head of its retail banking division, effective from 3 March 2014.

Banque Cantonal Vaudoise, the Lausanne, Switzerland-headquartered bank, has added José François Sierdo as head of its retail banking division. 

Sierdo replaces Markus Gygax, who left BCV in November 2013. He will take up his position on 3 March 2014.

Sierdo has experience across the banking industry, having begun his career in 1993 at UBS. He then served with Lombard Odier & Cie from 1998 to 2002, before returning to UBS. Here, he held several key managerial positions in retail, private and corporate banking and spearheaded numerous business development projects.

As at 14 November 2013, BCV’s assets under management were up five per cent since the previous quarter, reaching SFr86.1 billion ($96.4 billion) in total.
