Structured Products Platform Names Technology Chief

The CTO has worked in senior roles at Thomson Reuters - where he is credited for overseeing the design and development of the Refinitiv Eikon system - as well as Amazon and Citadel.
Luma
Financial Technologies, a multi-issuer structured products
and annuities platform, has named Arun Kumar as chief technology
officer, reporting directly to Tim Bonacci, president and chief
executive of Luma. He takes over from Adam Hutcheson, who
left Luma in August.
Based in Luma’s New York City office, Kumar will oversee the
development and dissemination of the firm’s technology.
Kumar is joining Luma from Citadel LLC, where he was responsible
for core platforms, enterprise data and analytics, enabling
faster time to market from idea generation to trading strategies
and trade execution. Previously at Amazon, he led a team of more
than 450 engineers, product managers, scientists and operation
managers to aggressively build and maintain their machine
learning platforms powering the entire Amazon.com website.
Arun also spent time as the global head of development at Thomson
Reuters where he is credited for overseeing the design and
development of Thomson Reuters’ (Refinitiv) $2 billion
revenue-generating premium Market Data platform - Eikon.
